When God’s Word Takes Root, the Church Grows Stronger
“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained their senses to distinguish good from evil.”
— Hebrews 5:14
What does it look like when God’s Word takes root in someone’s life? Recently, our viewers have written about changing priorities, learning to surrender to Christ, and praying faithfully for loved ones to know Him. Their testimonies bring me back to a question at the heart of our ministry:
How do we help believers grow into mature disciples who disciple others?
My local church recently adopted “Multiply” as its five-year vision, focusing on spiritual maturity, groups, leaders, and reach. These priorities are interconnected: believers grow in community, become equipped to disciple others, and help form new groups that need faithful leaders.
This vision fully resonates with Endure International’s mission to make disciples who make disciples and to strengthen churches in some of the world’s most challenging regions. The messages below show why patient teaching and personal follow-up matter so much.
A.K a viewer of Algerian descent born in France, recently contacted our French-language ministry. After rediscovering our teaching on EMCI, she began watching past episodes on YouTube. She shared how the Lord had brought her to faith—and continued drawing her closer through years of struggle.
From A.K’s story:
“My brother H.A and his wife constantly spoke to me about Jesus, and I would mock them. My brother kept talking to me about the Lord. Ten years after he first began, I acknowledged Jesus as my Savior in 1998.
For many years, my faith was weak, and I struggled to surrender my life to Him. I asked the Lord to forgive me, not to abandon me, and always to bring me back to Him. By His grace, He answered. Today, my faith is founded on our Lord, and my whole life rests on Him.
Your program does me a world of good because the teaching is centered on our Lord and the explanations are clear. I pray every day for my daughter and granddaughter, whose faith is not yet firmly established, and for my mother and entire family.”
A.K. also wanted her Muslim mother to hear the teaching, but her mother understands neither French nor Modern Standard Arabic. Her request gives us a specific need to pray about: that her mother would hear and understand the gospel in a language she knows.
I am moved by H.A .’s persistence in speaking to his sister about Jesus over ten years. Now A.K is seeking biblical teaching and praying for the generations of her own family. Please pray for her continued growth, for her daughter and granddaughter to become firmly grounded in Christ, and for her mother to come to know Him.
Another viewer described how a growing hunger for God’s Word is reshaping daily priorities.
From the viewer’s message, abbreviated:
“The Lord has changed my priorities in ways I never expected. The entertainment that once consumed so much of my time no longer holds the same appeal. Instead, I eagerly follow Kol El Ketab, Searching the Scriptures, and Bible Panorama.
This transformation has affected my routines, relationships, and how I spend my time. I want to understand Scripture, pray faithfully, share my faith, and see my loved ones come to know the Lord.
Spiritual growth also brings questions and challenges. I am learning to examine my heart, seek God’s wisdom, and ask how my faith should shape the way I treat others. Please pray as I continue growing in Christ.”
This viewer’s honesty challenges me personally. Is Scripture changing how I spend my time and how I treat people? Am I allowing the truths I teach to shape my own responses and decisions?
Years of ministry do not remove my own need to grow. Hebrews 5:12–14 reminds us that maturity involves learning to discern and practice what God teaches. In a world filled with competing voices and deceptive teachings, we need this daily grounding in the Scripture (Ephesians 4:14).
Our ability to disciple others is limited by our own commitment to growing in obedience to Christ ourselves.
For another viewer, a lesson on Jude touched a burden carried for years.
From the viewer’s message, abbreviated:
“For three years, I have prayed daily for my husband, children, parents, and sisters, asking the Lord to open their eyes to His salvation, just as He opened mine. Each night, I also pray with my children, H and J, for our family’s salvation.
While watching Episode 10 of the Letter of Jude, a discussion about praying according to God’s will moved me to tears.
Although my family has struggled to understand my testimony, the Lord continues to teach me through His Word and these programs. I long for my loved ones to know the salvation I have experienced. Please pray as I learn to trust God with their future.”
Please remember this viewer and their children as they pray together. Ask the Lord to sustain their faith and help them speak of Christ with love and patience.
Like A.K, this viewer is learning to trust God while longing for loved ones to know Him. Their messages remind our team that each lesson may reach someone carrying questions, family tensions, or years of unanswered prayer. We need wisdom to teach faithfully and care personally for those who write to us.
From Receiving the Word to Sharing It
Through Bible teaching in multiple languages, Endure International serves people across the Muslim world and beyond. Our follow-up workers and ministry partners help viewers explore their questions, understand Scripture, and put what they learn into practice. As believers grow alongside others in local churches, they can learn to serve and disciple others themselves.
Paul instructed Timothy:
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” — 2 Timothy 2:2
H’s patient witness to A.K. gives me a personal picture of that responsibility. He continued speaking to his sister about Jesus; today, she is growing in faith and longs for her family to know Him. We pray that she—and each viewer learning through our programs—will become equipped to share God’s Word faithfully with others.
Will you pray with us for A.K and her family, for the viewer learning to reorder daily life around Scripture, and for the parent praying with H and J? Please pray also for our teachers and follow-up workers as they walk alongside them.
And as we pray, may we each ask: Where is God calling me to grow, and whom has He placed in my life to help follow Christ?
Thank you for standing with us in this ministry. As we teach, follow up, and pray, we trust God to bring growth—in the lives of those we serve and in our own.
In Christ,
